Peggy Donnelly Hoefel brings over 20 years of nursing experience to the firm. A bachelors-prepared St. Louis University RN, she knew obstetrics was her passion and provided care to women and infants for over 10 years. Her clinical practice has also included medical/surgical and home health nursing. Case management practice familiarized her with medical standards in multiple areas of specialty.

In 1996, concurrent with her clinical practice, Ms. Donnelly began assisting attorneys by clarifying medical issues in their medical malpractice cases.

Experience was built with leading St. Louis attorneys in diverse personal injury claims. She is gifted in identifying the strengths and weaknesses in liability cases as well as skilled in locating the most apropos expert witnesses.

Peggy is a distinguished speaker and has educated attorneys, nurses and paralegals on diverse topics including evaluation of fetal heart rate monitoring. She has served as an adjunct clinical instructor of nursing students and lectured on legal nursing. Memberships in professional organizations have included the Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC). She has served on the Board of the St. Louis Chapter of AALNC in several capacities since 1996, including President.
